Alkmaar and Amsterdam!
Everything went so smoothly yesterday…Pete chivvied us out of the door at 6.00 am and got us to the train at Castle Cary (early) …we had time for a pasty at Paddington station and a leisurely journey through London.
Eurostar was a bit of a conveyor belt and our first experience of the ‘strip down’ put everything, including your belt holding your trousers up, processes of security….and then it was done. We’d left England.
Rosa letting go of her grief about saying goodbye to her beloved Tequila (her cat not a worrying alcohol addiction). Theo catching up on some sleep as he’d spent all night tidying and me? Well I’m no longer in denial that we’re going …but secretly…? I think my current estimate of our chances of getting to Oz is about 11% 🙂
HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY. …we LOVED the multi-storey bike park at the station in Alkmaar!
